One Day Hollyford Heli Hike Track Charter

Fly from Queenstown over the Wakatipu Basin over the famous Earnslaw Burn and into the spectacular Hollyford Valley and Fiordland National Park. View Lake McKerrow below as you land at Martins Bay Hut ready to start your easy 40 min return walk in one of New Zealand’s fur seal colonies. In spring, you may even catch a glimpse of the Fiordland Crested Penguins as they come ashore and nest.

Next, you will fly to Martins Bay Airstrip where you will walk up Fiordland’s longest valley to the abandoned settlement of Jamestown, once the intended capital of the South Island. As we walk in amongst native flora and fauna to Lake McKerrow you will be mesmerised by views of Mt Tutoko and its glacial tops, truly spectacular.

Your journey from Jamestown flies you into and around the surrounding glaciers before heading into Milford Sound over the iconic Mitre Peak. A landing at Lake Quill and views of the Sutherland Falls are all part of your journey home finished off with a landing in the alpine tussocks of the Humbolt Mountain Range.
